GYROKINESIS® Group Format Class

GYROKINESIS® exercise is an ever-evolving intelligent movement system designed by Juliu Horvath. The format generates suppleness, core pelvic strength, and overall mobility through multiple-joint articulation. The movements in Gyrokinesis class are circular and rhythmic in order to create healthy joints. Emphasis on breath, energetic alignment, and a grounded connection within a choreographed set of exercises lead to a sense of well-being after completing the class. Students sit on low stools as well as moving down to the mat and follow the teacher in an engaging movement series. Be prepared to spiral, undulate, and expand! Stools are provided. Drop-ins are welcome. Check the schedule for the next class.

WHAT TO WEAR

Choose comfortable clothing that allows for motion at all of your joints. No shoes are needed. If you tend to get warm easily, consider wearing light clothing or a lighter layer just in case. If you like to wear socks, we recommend sticky toe socks so you can ground your feet without slipping.

WHAT TO BRING

Mats and stools are provided. If you prefer to use your own mat, bring it along with you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Come with an open mind and be willing to let yourself learn the movements at your own pace. It is universal to feel overwhelmed or confused when you first learn something new — remember, you are not alone. We cover the same or similar material week to week, so you have plenty of time to let the movement happen. The teacher moves along with you so you have someone to follow. Our classes are very low-key, light-hearted, and fun.
